Harper is Here!

Harper Atticus was born at 6:12 pm on May 28, 2009!  He weighed in at 8 lbs and was 20 1/2 inches long.  We are so happy to have him here to complete our little family!

Special thanks to my friend Lori Barbely for some great shots of our little man!  Can’t wait to see the rest!

I was so excited to see on Budget Chic this morning that Forever 21 has now put out a more sophisticated line for those of us with more womanly figures.  Love 21 is only sold online and in select stores.  I was surprised and disappointed to see that it isn’t sold in the super-nice Mall at Millenia here in Orlando, but is sold in the pitiful mall near my hometown.

Shop Tuesday: Mario Badescu

I have been a fan of Mario Badescu products since 2001, when a monster zit  just before a big night out had me in a tizzy.  A friend of mine had MB’s Drying Lotion in her medicine cabinet and urged me to try it.  Having seen it in lots of magazines sold as “our best selling pimple healer,” I gave it a shot before bed one night.  The next morning, it was all but gone.  Just a hint of redness remained, and that disappeared with just one more application.  I immediately logged onto their website, filled out a questionnaire about my skin, and received free samples of all products in their recommended skincare regimen.  I’ve been hooked since.  While it seems they no longer do the free samples [CORRECTION: after filling out a questionnaire, you'll receive an email with a link to request samples of your regimen.], I can tell you that any product they recommend is worth the money.  I’ve never been disappointed.

My 5 favorite products:

1. The legendary Drying Lotion.

2.  Ceramide Eye Gel.  Used as part of my morning routine, I always looked fresh, even after late nights during my college life.

3.  Seaweed Cleansing Lotion.  This product leaves your face feeling extra clean and fresh, like you just had a facial.

4.  Cucumber Tonic Mask.  Following product 3, this is heaven.

5.  Hyaluronic Moisturizer (SPF 15).  This is perfect to top off the routine!  Is great for day or night.

Now I really feel like I need to order some products and get back on my skincare routine!
